Patterson Park
is one of Baltimore’s most venerable and enchanting public parks.
Formally introduced in 1852, Patterson Park was a gift to the citizens of Baltimore, a place for families to picnic and promenade among picturesque, amenity-filled acres. After years of neglect and abuse, this once-vital landmark gradually diminished into a grim period of disrepair, taking the soul of a neighborhood with it. Thanks to the dedication, generosity, and hard work of civic-minded individuals and organizations, Patterson Park is undergoing a profound renaissance. Through continuing revitalization projects, Patterson Park is once again the proud community focal point that our forbearers bequeathed to the city of Baltimore.
